IR-215
Makobond IR 215 is a translucent fire-retardant infusion system. IR 215 has a mixed viscosity of under 1,000 cps making it easy to wet out fabrics. The one-hour pot life provides enough time to successfully infuse most large laminates. IR 215 passes FAR specification 14 CFR 25.853.

All MAKO products are proudly PFAS Free

Makobond IR 215 is a high-performance, translucent fire-retardant infusion system designed for advanced composite manufacturing. Compliant with FAR 14 CFR 25.853, it ensures superior fire safety. With a low mixed viscosity of less than 1,000 cps, it easily wets reinforcement fabrics, ensuring thorough impregnation and high-quality, void-free laminates. Its one-hour pot life provides ample working time for infusing large or complex laminates without premature gelation. Ideal for aerospace, transportation, and construction industries, Makobond IR 215 is suited for large composite parts requiring reliable fire resistance. For optimal results, precise measurement and mixing, efficient flow, and proper curing are essential. Safety measures include using PPE, ensuring ventilation, and storing components properly. Overall, Makobond IR 215 combines low viscosity, extended pot life, and fire safety compliance, making it an excellent choice for large, fire-retardant composite structures.
