Through focused research and development, we create advanced composite materials that offer shorter lead times, modern chemistry alternatives, and reliable onshore supply chains. Our innovations include vibration damping films, addition-cure polyimide resins and prepregs for high-temperature composite ducts, and primers engineered to improve lap shear strength in aerospace bonding applications.

Johnny Lincoln, Ph.D., is the Founder and President of MAKO. He brings extensive leadership experience across advanced materials, specialty chemicals, and high-performance composites. Dr. Lincoln has served on the Board of Directors for six companies in the advanced materials and chemicals sectors, providing strategic guidance and technical insight to organizations focused on innovation, growth, and operational excellence.
Prior to founding MAKO, Dr. Lincoln was the Founder and CEO of Axiom Materials, Inc., where he led the company from 2009 through 2022. Under his leadership, Axiom became a respected supplier in the advanced composites industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
Matt Jones leads Business Development for MAKO. He is a skilled engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the advanced composites field. His background combines technical expertise, customer relationship development, and a strong understanding of high-performance material applications.
Before joining MAKO, Matt served as Head of Business Development at Axiom Materials, Inc., where he helped expand commercial opportunities and build long-term customer partnerships. His experience spans advanced composite materials, engineered solutions, and technical sales support for demanding industries. Matt earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Dr. Castro is the Laboratory Manager at MAKO. He is a composite materials professional with experience spanning composites materials and process engineering, research and development, laboratory testing, and technical problem-solving. His work supports the development and evaluation of advanced material systems for demanding applications.
Dr. Castro brings a strong foundation in engineering and applied materials science. He earned his Ph.D. in Composites Engineering from Texas A&M University and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. At MAKO, he supports laboratory operations, product development, and technical programs that align material performance with customer needs and industry expectations.
