Lightweight Syntactic Core Splice Adhesive Film

Ablative Molding Compound
The United States DOW has demanded an increase in U.S. manufacture of rocket motors. Mako Advanced Materials responded with our Aerofin line of Ablative Molding Compounds. These unique materials are typically compression molded to form solid rocket motor parts, nozzles, and heat shields. Ablative molding compound is also used on re-entry vehicles and hypersonic vehicles with significant thermal exposure. This molding compound is supplied in low-tack, 1/2″ squares which flow under heat and pressure during the press cure cycle. Fiber reinforcements include silica and carbon. Two non-PAN carbon sources are offered. New silica fabric sources alleviate legacy supply chain bottlenecks.
